Can dogs eat cheese?

What’s that you ask? Can dogs eat cheese? Oh, that’s what I thought you said. Anyways, the answer short and sweet is, mostly yes, dogs can eat cheese. Some dogs may be lactose intolerant but even then, a bit of cheese should not do harm, unless you consider their bowel movements harmful to your free time.

If you are sure that your dog is not lactose intolerant, I would still be careful about how much cheese you feed your dog. Remember the golden rule I keep talking about? Yup, you guessed it; it applies here too. Too much cheese can result in your dog having terrible diarrhea, which you probably don’t want. The occasional piece of cheese should be fine though.

Feeding cheese to your dog can actually be very beneficial, in multiple ways. One way it can be beneficial is if it’s used as a treat for good behavior. Just like all the other great tasting foods, cheese is also a great reward treat for dogs. A reward treat is especially important during dog training. You want to reward your dog for cooperating during training, and what better way to do it than with delicious food?

How do I give my dog a pill? That’s another question people often ask. It leads into the second benefit of cheese. Cheese is a great place to hide a pill so that your dog will be more likely to eat the pill by not knowing it’s there. This will save you a lot of time and money. I often see people taking their dog to the vet simply because they cannot figure out how to get their dog to take a pill. Knowing this neat little trick of stuffing a pill in cheese will be easy on your wallet unlike a trip to the vet.

Well, now that you know the answer to: Can dogs eat cheese, and can dogs eat apples, why not go and treat your dog to a tiny piece of cheese or an apple for always being there for you for better or for worse. Loving your dog is extremely important and nothing better to say it than random acts of kindness. You don’t even have to do it now if you don’t want to but it is important that you remember to do something special for your dog to build the healthiest relationship possible with love going both ways. At the end of the day, your dog will not judge you for who you are or what you have, he or she will only love you like a parent.
