Can dogs eat yogurt?

Alright, there’s no need to drag this one on forever. I’ve already told you that dogs are lactose intolerant so you should be able to answer this question with flying colors:

Can dogs eat yogurt?

Smaller amounts of yogurt may be fine for your dog. I would not recommend more than a tablespoon for your dog in one day. Perhaps the best thing to do would be give your dog even less and see how he or she reacts to the yogurt. By reacts, I do not mean if your dog is happy or sad, rather if your dog shows any signs of sickness within the course of the next 24 hours. I tend to keep my dog away from shady foods like this however, there’s a pretty large number of dog owners who say yogurt is fine. At the end of the day, the decision is yours. If you did give your dog yogurt by accident, you probably shouldn’t worry too much. Just relax!

    Hi,
I want to share with you that yogurt is fine for dogs. Not only is it fine, but its actually good. Especially if they have been on antibiotics lately. I am a breeder and I feed it to recuperating dogs and to Dams who have given birth and nursing. I’ve also had an orphan litter who needed a formula and a critical component of it was whole fat yogurt.
Love your site good info – but this one needs more research:)
